These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the AlMiqyas Arabic assessment platform. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using the AlMiqyas platform ("Platform"), you ("User", "School", "Teacher", or "Student") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2 Definitions

| "School" | Any educational institution that has subscribed to AlMiqyas services. |
| "User" | Any individual accessing the Platform, including school admins, teachers, and students. |
| "Assessment Data" | All data generated through the use of assessments on the Platform, including student scores, reports, and analytics. |
| "YOS Framework" | The Years of Study assessment model proprietary to AlMiqyas. |
| "Subscription" | The paid licence granted to a School to access the Platform for a defined period. |
3 Platform Access
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, AlMiqyas grants the School a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform during the Subscription period.
- Access is granted to the School and its authorised teachers and students only.
- Login credentials are personal and must not be shared with unauthorised individuals.
- The School is responsible for all activity that occurs under its account.
- AlMiqyas reserves the right to suspend access for suspected security breaches or policy violations.
- Platform availability is targeted at 99.5% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance windows.
4 School Obligations
By subscribing to AlMiqyas, the School agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
- Ensure all teachers and students using the Platform are made aware of these Terms.
- Obtain all necessary consents for processing student personal data, including parental consent where required by local law.
- Use the Platform solely for legitimate educational assessment purposes.
- Promptly notify AlMiqyas of any suspected unauthorised access or security incident.
- Not permit access to the Platform by individuals outside the School's enrolled staff and students.
5 Acceptable Use
Users must not use the Platform to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Platform by automated means.
- Impersonate another user, school, or AlMiqyas personnel.
- Use assessment content or question banks outside the Platform without written permission.
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or degrades Platform performance for other users.
6 Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including but not limited to the YOS Framework, assessment question banks, reports, analytics models, software, design, and branding — are the exclusive intellectual property of AlMiqyas Education Technology LLC and are protected by UAE and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
- Schools are granted a limited licence to use Platform outputs (reports, results) for internal educational purposes only.
- No content may be reproduced, distributed, published, or commercially exploited without prior written consent from AlMiqyas.
- The AlMiqyas name, logo, and YOS Framework are registered trademarks and may not be used without authorisation.
7 Assessment Data & Results
Assessment results, reports, and analytics generated through the Platform are provided for educational guidance purposes. Schools acknowledge that:
- Results reflect performance at the time of assessment and should be interpreted in context.
- AlMiqyas does not guarantee specific educational outcomes from use of the Platform.
- Schools retain ownership of their students' assessment data and may export it at any time during the Subscription period.
- AlMiqyas may use anonymised, aggregated assessment data for platform improvement and benchmarking research.
8 Payment & Subscription
Subscription fees are agreed upon in the School's service agreement with AlMiqyas. The following terms apply:
- Fees are payable in advance for the agreed subscription period.
- All fees are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Subscriptions do not automatically renew unless agreed in the service contract.
- Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods unless AlMiqyas is in material breach of these Terms.
- AlMiqyas reserves the right to suspend access for overdue payments after 14 days' written notice.
- Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice prior to renewal.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- AlMiqyas provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
- AlMiqyas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.
- AlMiqyas's total aggregate liability to any School shall not exceed the total fees paid by that School in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- AlMiqyas is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events, third-party infrastructure failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10 Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription agreement:
- By the School: With 30 days' written notice prior to the renewal date.
- By AlMiqyas: Immediately upon material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse of the Platform.
- Upon termination, the School's access to the Platform will be revoked and data will be retained for the period specified in our Privacy Policy before secure deletion.
- Schools may request a data export within 30 days of termination.
11 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
For schools operating under ADGM or DIFC jurisdiction, the relevant free zone courts shall have jurisdiction as applicable.
